GESSEL is proud to have contributed, as a partner, to preparation and organisation of the fourth edition of the “Dispute Resolution in M&A Transactions” international conference held on 18 and 19 May 2017 at the Hotel Polonia in Warsaw.

“Dispute Resolution in M&A Transactions” is a prestigious conference devoted to arbitration in the context of M&A transactions. Its successive iterations attract global experts to discuss current tendencies and practical issues of arbitration in M&A transactions, procedural questions, calculation of damages, and case studies. The proceedings are conducted in English.

This year’s programme encompassed four panel debates. The introduction to Panel II, Declaratory awards in M&A / Comparative approach, was given by Beata Gessel-Kalinowska vel Kalisz. In this connection, we are happy to note that Beata Gessel, our firm’s founder and senior partner, has been nominated to the OGEMID award (in the Diversity category) for her work as initiator and chairwoman of the conference.

Of the four case study sessions, one – Culpa in contrahendo: tips and traps in negotiation of M&A transactions – was presented by Natalia Jodłowska, attorney at GESSEL and Michał Pochodyła, lawyer at GESSEL.
