GESSEL advised on the Polish law aspects of the acquisition of Smithstown Light Engineering Group by Graham Partners

GESSEL acted as Polish counsel supporting Irish law firm RDJ in its role as lead advisor to Smithstown Light Engineering Group, a leading Irish medical device manufacturer, in connection with its acquisition by Graham Partners, a US-based private equity firm.

GESSEL’s advice covered the legal aspects of operations of Smithstown Polska sp. z o.o., including support in preparing and negotiating the transaction documentation, as well as coordinating the parallel completion of the transaction in both jurisdictions.

“Advice on transactions in the medical technology sector is an area in which we have been active for many years. We are pleased that our expertise is being recognised and appreciated by the market. We would like to thank the RDJ team for the opportunity to collaborate and for the excellent coordination throughout the process” said Aleksandra Szyszko-Kamińska, Managing Associate at GESSEL.
