GESSEL advises Eco Classic on its acquisition of shares in I am Poznań

GESSEL provided comprehensive legal services in the acquisition by Eco Classic of shares in I am Poznań (formerly H. Cegielski – Fabryka Silników Agregatowych i Trakcyjnych) from the Lebanese company Sakr Holding. The closing marks the end of long months of negotiations.

Thanks to this acquisition, Eco Classic significantly increases its land holdings and is poised to enter the lucrative residential and commercial property market in Poznań. Its plans call for construction of a residential development on the Poznań site.

GESSEL’s input included, in particular, devising the transaction structure, support in negotiations and preparation of the complex transaction documentation, advice on the regulatory aspects, and advice on the antitrust aspect of the deal.

Eco Classic’s operations to date were focused on residential and commercial developments in Warsaw and the tri-city conurbation on Poland’s Baltic coast. In the capacity of general contractor and developer, the Eco Classic group has completed over 120 projects in Poland and abroad.
