31.01.2023 Case studies Mergers and acquisitions (M&A)
Following the first closing of SunRoof’s investment round in September 2022, within which it attracted financing to the tune of approximately EUR 15 mln (PLN 70 mln), the company – supported by GESSEL – worked with a consortium composed of the World Fund, Nordic Alpha Partners, and Legal&General Capital to boost this amount by another EUR 13.5 mln (PLN 63 mln).
In this way, the aggregate value of SunRoof’s investment round, led by Klima Energy Transition (Alantra earmarked fund), reached EUR 28.5 mln (approximately PLN 135 mln). The company will apply these funds towards its expansion plans in the European and American markets.
GESSEL’s contribution included drafting and negotiation of the investment agreement and of various corporate and technical documentation, finalisation of the transaction, and coordinating with counsel in other jurisdictions.
