We obtained UOKiK approval for the concentration for our client – Gaz-System S.A.

We advised Gaz-System S.A., a gas transmission system operator and a strategic company in the Polish economy, on the conclusion of a conditional agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Gas Storage Poland. The acquisition of the shares was subject to the approval of UOKiK for the concentration, which we successfully obtained. The case was handled by Bernadeta Kasztelan-Świetlik together with Natalia Leśna.

Working on the concentration in such a specific market was a challenge for us, as gas transmission and storage are among the most sensitive aspects of the Polish economy.

We thank GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. for their trust and the substantive and efficient cooperation, which resulted in UOKiK’s approval for the concentration.

GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. is a key operator of the natural gas transmission system in Poland, managing strategic infrastructure, including the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline and the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście. The company is implementing an investment program focused on constructing new pipelines and expanding LNG infrastructure, contributing to Poland’s energy security and energy transition. It is owned by the State Treasury and plays a vital role in the Polish energy sector.
