IIIrd Edition – Meet the Participants

The third edition of GESSEL’s Mentorship Programme got underway in October 2018, with three Mentees joining our firm for one year:


Erazm Dutkiewicz

Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at Jagiellonian University. Participant of the 2016 iteration of the Nuremberg Moot Court 2016, speaker at conferences devoted to medical law and clinical studies. Attended the Sock Exchange Academy at the Warsaw bourse and the Capital Companies Academy at Jagiellonian University.

Previously worked at a renowned Krakow law firm specialising in medical law and malpractice and personal injury litigation. As a student, volunteered at law clinics operated by the Academia Iuris Foundation and at non-governmental organisations working to counteract discrimination and exclusion.

Katarzyna Matyszewska

Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at Jagiellonian University, also holds a degree in finance and accounting from the Economic University in Krakow. As an Erasmus+ scholar, attended Bucerius Law School in Hamburg. Recently won a place as a trainee attorney and is scheduled to commence her training articles in 2019.

Recipient of Chancellor’s scholarships for outstanding students. Completed internships at the Warsaw offices of an international law firm, at a Polish law firm specialising in finance law, and at the Regional Administrative Court in Krakow.

Barbara Tomczyk

Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw (2017). As an  Erasmus+ scholar, studied at the University of Bergen. As of January 2018, trainee advocate with the regional bar association for Warsaw.

Previously worked with a number of Polish law firms, providing legal advice to business enterprises (especially in the realms of restructuring and bankruptcy). As a student, volunteered at law clinics and at the Helsinki Human Rights Foundation.

The Mentorship Programme presents a unique opportunity for comprehensive development and for testing your skills and knowledge in various areas of the law in practice.
