08.11.2018 News
We are happy to announce that, on 5 November 2018, Artur Kruszewski, attorney at GESSEL officially received his PhD in legal studies upon successful completion of his thesis “Document form of the declaration of intent” written under the tutelage of Prof Krzysztof Pietrzykowski of the Civil Law Institute, Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Warsaw (reviewed by Prof Jacek Gołaczyński and Prof Maciej Gutowski).
His work deals with the new form for declarations of intent introduced, after some years of doctrinal controversy and disputes, to the Polish Civil Code with the desire to adapt the formal statutory requirements to the proliferation of digital and electronic technologies. The thesis presents a broad analysis of Polish rules regulating declarations of intent in electronic form and then juxtaposes them with analogous regulations in other jurisdictions, such as §126b of the German Civil Code, and with model codes, such as the Draft Common Frame of Reference.
Artur Kruszewski, attorney specialises in company law and in civil law advice for companies. His experience to date includes negotiation and review of contracts and participation in due diligence studies.
Congratulations, and our best wishes for further success in the future !
