Beata Gessel at the academic conference entitled ‘Values and professional success of lawyers – the borders of compromise ?’, 27 November 2009

Was Iustitia Also a Woman ? was the title of the lecture given by Beata Gessel, managing partner of GESSEL, at a recent conference devoted to the relationship between ethics in the legal profession and professional success of legal practitioners.

Other participants in the debate held in the Auditorium of the Old Library building at Warsaw University included Prof Jacek Hołówka, Prof Ireneusz Krzemiński, Prof Andrzej Rychard, Stanisław Mikke, attorney, Roman Nowosielski, attorney, and Andrzej Malicki, attorney; honorary patronage over the event was extended by Prof Jerzy Buzek, President of the European Parliament.

The conference was organised by the Chief Advocates’ Council, Warsaw University’s Faculty of Law and Administration, the National Council of Attorneys, the Regional Advocates’ Council in Warsaw, and the Regional Chamber of Attorneys in Warsaw.
