Bernadeta Kasztelan-Świetlik at the 18th International Dairy Cooperatives Forum

On 9 September, the second day of the event, Bernadeta Kasztelan-Świetlik spoke about regulation of the agrifoods sector, with legislation at the national and European Union levels filling the spaces left by industry codes of practice. 

The other topics covered during the two-day congress included:

• The Common Agricultural Policy and the Green Deal
• Economics, or ecology ?  Dairy business management in the face of new challenges
• Free trade agreements
• The dairy industry after Covid-19

The event was held in Białystok, in the east of Poland, a focal point of the country’s milk industry. Attendees included representatives of dairy cooperatives and dairy foods producers, suppliers to the dairy industry, and diplomats whose briefs cover agriculture and commerce. The International Dairy Cooperatives Forum, now in its 18^th iteration, is a major event for the international dairy industry.
