Bernadeta Kasztelan-Świetlik to take part in the “Recent merger control developments in Europe and their implications for the future of antitrust” conference

Bernadeta Kasztelan-Świetlik will join in the conference entitled “Recent merger control developments in Europe and their implications for the future of antitrust” organised by the Centre for Antitrust and Regulatory Studies (CARS) at the University of Warsaw and by CMS.

The conference will be held between 10:00 and 16:00 on 7 May 2019 on the Faculty of Management campus. 

During the conference, representatives of the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission, lawyers, academics, and members of the business community will speak on topics such as:

• The public interest and non-competition aspects of merger control;
• The role of economic analysis in refusing merger clearance; 
• Liability for gun jumping.

Bernadeta Kasztelan-Świetlik will join in a panel on gun jumping, discussing recent publicised instances of gun jumping and their consequences. The panellists will also try to illustrate the practical challenges faced by parties to M&A transactions.
