Dr Beata Gessel-Kalinowska vel Kalisz joins a panel at an international arbitration conference

The international conference on “Current Trends in Arbitration Laws and Rules” took place on 12 February 2014 at the University of Warsaw. Dr Beata Gessel-Kalinowska vel Kaliszparticipated in the panel “Recent developments in arbitration rules: Long term trends or just passing fads ?”.

Dr Beata Gessel-Kalinowska vel Kalisz has extensive experience in the field of alternative dispute resolution as well as ad hoc proceedings – to date, Beata Gessel has participated in approximately 80 international arbitration cases concerning M&A transactions, other commercial contracts, and construction law. Her arbitration experience and achievements have been recognized by the prestigious Charted Institute of Arbitrators in London, and she has been granted the status of Fellow of the CIArb. Since 2011, she serves as the President of the Arbitration Court of the Polish Confederation of Private Employers Lewiatan. Member of the Arbitration Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, ICC Poland, International Bar Association, of ArbitralWomen, and of the Polish Arbitration Association. Chair of the Audit Committee of the Polish Private Equity Association, an organisation assembling all the private equity funds active in Poland.
