GESSEL advises Jantoń on its acquisition of Platinum Wines Sp. z o.o.

GESSEL provided legal support to Jantoń in the transaction for purchase of a 100% stake in Platinum Wines Sp. z o.o. Our services included drafting and negotiation of the transaction documentation and support at closing.
Marcin Macieszczak, managing partner supervised the work of a legal team led by Monika Żulińska, managing associate and composed of Karolina Krzal, advocate, Bartłomiej Woźniak, advocate and Erazm Dutkiewicz, lawyer.
Platinum Wines Sp. z o.o. was hereuntil a part of the Platinum Brands Group, owner of 700 hectares of own vineyards in the Thracian Valley of Bulgaria and of the Katarzyna Estate and Belizza wineries. The company imports and distributes wines for the traditional and modern off-trade channels, and its active sales methods and marketing support have left the brands handled by Platinum Wines well positioned in the market. Platinum Wines distributes and imports wines from all over the world, primarily from Bulgaria, Moldova, Georgia and Chile. It is the Exclusive Polish distributor of brands such as Mezzek, Mołdawska Winnica, Bagadoni and Porta.
Jantoń specialises in production of beverages with an alcoholic content of up to 22%. Its products are sold under almost 20 brands, the most recognisable of which include Monte Santi, Grzaniec Galicyjski, Zbójeckie Grzane and Cydr Dobroński. Jantoń beverages can be found in all modern retail sales channels, including discount chains. The company’s state-of-the-art production facility and central warehouse are located in Dobroń by Łódź.
