GESSEL advises SunRoof on another investment round

GESSEL supported SunRoof in a PLN 70 mln (EUR 15 mln) financing round led by the Klima Energy Transition Fund, with additional capital put up by the funds Inovo VC, SMOK Ventures, Alfabeat and Level2 Ventures.
SunRoof aims to apply the funds thus obtained towards strengthening its market position in Sweden, Germany, and Poland, increasing sales and positioning itself for bringing its integrated photovoltaic solutions to new markets.
GESSEL’s assistance included drafting and negotiation of the investment agreement and of the corporate and technical documents; we also coordinated cooperation with counsel in other jurisdictions.
SunRoof is a start-up which produces 2-in-1 solar roofs and intelligent energy management solutions. Its innovative roofing technology provides the benefits of solar power without the need of installing separate solar panels.
Klima is a private equity fund belonging to the Alantra group, with its seat in Madrid. It focuses on investments in Europe and North America, and its portfolio includes many companies from the logistics, energy, and clean tech solutions.
