GESSEL advises the LUX MED Group on purchase of a medical facility in Nowy Sącz

GESSEL advised the LUX MED Group, a leading provider of private medical care in Poland, on its acquisition of Niepubliczny Zakład Opieki Zdrowotnej REMEDIUM Sp. z o.o. in Nowy Sącz.

GESSEL’s input comprised due diligence, drafting of all the transaction documents, advice on actual effectuation of the investment, and closing. Our team working on this project was led by Michał Boryczka, managing associate and included Mykoła Zembra, senior associate, and the associates Erazm Dutkiewicz and Piotr Tracz.

The LUX MED Group, a leader in the Polish private health care market, belongs to Bupa, a worldwide insurer and health care provider. LUX MED offers a full range of outpatient, diagnostic, rehabilitation, hospital, and long-term care services, and it has been pursuing a strategy of consistently expanding its clinic networks of which the present acquisition of Remedium was the most recent step. 

NZOZ Remedium Sp. z o.o. of Nowy Sącz, opened in 2000, is a leading health care provider in the local market, serving patients under contract with the National Health Fund as well as on a fee-for-service basis.
