GESSEL as sponsor of the Warsaw Arbitration & Mediation Days

The Warsaw Arbitration & Mediation Days, or WAMD, scheduled for 23-25 May is a joint project of all the major arbitration institutions in Poland – the Polish National Committee of the ICC, the Arbitration Court of the National Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw, the Lewiatan Arbitration Court, the Polish Association of Engineers and Expert Witnesses, the University of Warsaw and SWPS University, with AIJA and ICC Paris as partners of the event. GESSEL is proud to contribute as one of the WAMD sponsors.

The basic goals of the conference lie in popularising arbitration as a viable alternative dispute resolution method and in propagating Poland as an arbitration centre for Central and Eastern Europe. International by design, the event will bring together over 50 lawyers, experts, academics and practitioners from Poland, Germany, France, Britain, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Georgia, Ukraine, Greece, Romania and Brazil. It will include more than 20 panels devoted to key issues in commercial and investment arbitration, mediation, the financial aspects of ADR, and the psychological dimension of dispute resolution.

GESSEL will be represented by our Senior Partner, Dr. Beata Gessel Kalinowska vel Kalisz, who will chair the third panel on the first day of the conference entitled CEE Arbitration: The same origin, a different path.
