GESSEL represented Impact Clean Power Technology S.A. and Halny Cyprus Limited in proceedings before the Polish antitrust authority, seeking clearance for establishment of a joint business – Energy Storage Management Sp. z o.o. with its seat in Warsaw. According to plans, this new enterprise will operate in the electric vehicle market and, more broadly, in the energy industry, with especial emphasis on rental of batteries for electricity-powered machines and electric vehicles (first and foremost for public transit vehicles) and the accompanying infrastructure.
Halny, a holding company, is part of the Wento group, which develops and manages wind farms and solar panel facilities. ICPT, in turn, is a Europe-wide player in the lithium-ion battery market.
This project brings another successful conclusion of proceedings before the antitrust authority for an entity represented by GESSEL. In January 2018, the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection granted permission to
Naprzód S.A of Krakow, whose activities include catering, for a take-over of Catermed S.A. In both these projects, our Clients were advised by Bernadeta Kasztelan-Świetlik, partner and Karolina Krzal, advocate.
