Michał Pochodyła recognised in the Rising Stars Lawyers – Tomorrow’s Leaders 2014 competition

Michał Pochodyła, LL.M., a member of GESSEL’s legal team, has been recognised in the Rising Stars Lawyers – Tomorrow’s Leaders 2014 competition organised by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.

Michał Pochodyła specializes in commercial and investment arbitration, dispute resolution, and economic advice on the drafting, negotiation, and implementation of trade agreements in various sectors of the economy. He gained experience while working for recognised law firms in London and in Warsaw. Participated in international arbitration proceedings conducted under the rules of the major arbitration institutions including the ICC, LCIA, SCC, and VIAC as well as in ad hoc arbitration proceedings, for example under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, conducted – among other venues – in the Hague, London, Paris, New York, Warsaw, and Vienna He has hands-on experience with international disputes in the oil, gas, and energy sectors, in the construction, finance, banking, and IT industries and in the areas of commercial sale of goods, M&A, and joint ventures. He also participates in litigation with arbitration aspects before the courts of Poland and of other jurisdictions.

The panel assembled by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna for purposes of this competition considered criteria such as innovative spirit, creativity, attunement to market trends, and continuous quest for knowledge (optimally, also in the academic sphere). It also took into account client recommendations, ongoing projects, and pro bono work.
