Polish-Austrian arbitration conference in Vienna

Dr Beata Gessel-Kalinowska vel Kalisz chaired the International Commercial Arbitration – Austrian/Polish Twin Conference held in Vienna on 3 December 2010. The event was organised jointly by the Arbitration Court of the Polish Confederation of Private Employers Lewiatan and by the Austrian Arbitration Association (ArbAut).

Representatives of ArbAut, ArbitralWomen, the Polish Association of Corporate Lawyers, and of law firms from various countries around the region joined in debating the relationship between arbitration tribunals and the general courts, their respective roles in shaping standards of proceedings, assistance rendered by the general courts in matters of evidence, and related topics.
