We have signed an appeal to the Prime Minister!
29.08.2024 News
Non-governmental and business organizations, companies, law firms, and trade unions—a total of 35 entities—have united under an appeal sent on August 28, 2024, to the Prime Minister, Donald Tusk (Prime Minister’s Office).
The subject of the appeal is the need to establish integrated supervision and support for businesses in the area of sustainable development.
As new EU regulations covering sustainable development await transposition into the Polish legal system, the signatories of the letter fear chaos, lack of support, and insufficient oversight over the implementation of these regulations in practice. The already existing regulations and directives create a rather complex maze of rules. With the introduction of new ones, the situation could worsen.
The signatories are therefore calling for:
- Coordinated and internally consistent transposition of EU regulations in the aforementioned area into the Polish legal system
- The establishment or designation of an entity responsible for integrated supervision and support for businesses
- The creation of a consultative and advisory body to support this entity in its work
- The urgent organization of a roundtable discussion to address the details of the proposals presented in the letter.
