GESSEL Foundation for Zachęta – National Gallery of Art

A cooperation between Zachęta – National Gallery of Art and GESSEL launched in January 2013.

The Foundation has adopted the mission of supporting Zachęta – National Gallery of Art in propagating modern art and in promoting Zachęta as a historically important element in Polish art, culture, and cultural policy.

The Foundation pursues its goals by financing scholarships for artists, academics, and curators, by financing academic and research programmes in the field of modern art history and conservation, by financing artwork acquisitions and, in general, by supporting educational activities in the area of modern art.

The Foundation relies on funds sourced from corporate benefactors, sponsors, and from private individuals.
