Museum of the History of Polish Jews

30.09.2017 Pro Bono

From the very outset, GESSEL has supported the Jewish Historical Institute Association in its initiative of establishing a Museum of the History of Polish Jews, dedicated to chronicling the happy as well as dark aspects of shared Jewish and Polish history and to preserving their memory. Patronage over this initiative has been extended by Aleksander Kwaśniewski, former President of Poland; Shimon Peres, President of Israel, chairs the International Honorary Committee of the Museum.

Throughout 2008 and into the spring of 2009, the formative stages of the project, GESSEL’s legal team assisted the Museum of the History of Polish Jews with all and sundry aspects of copyright, employment law, construction law, and real estate law. The Museum continues to benefit from GESSEL’s expertise within the context of our special legal services programme for the creative community (concerning matters such as contract drafting, negotiations, safeguarding rights in disputes, and attending to the legal aspects of exhibitions, publishing projects, and websites).
