18 March witnessed the coming into force of Regulation (EU) 2021/337 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 February 2021 amending Regulation (EU) 2017/1129 (the Prospectus Regulation). The amendments aim to facilitate obtainment of finance in the securities markets by issuers so as to counteract the negative economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic. A critical change is presented in the provisions regarding the EU recovery prospectus.
