Subsidies towards salaries now extended

Polish employers may still apply for subsidies towards salaries, even if they have not cut back working times or placed their operations in standstill. This translates into an added advantage for, among others, companies which take the decision to hire new staff.

Although a few months have already elapsed since the deep lockdown of spring, companies may still seek payroll subsidies, and they are stepping forward to do so. In the past month alone, the Polish authorities contributed PLN 1.76 billion in subsidies towards the salaries of approximately 250,000 employees. This aid now stands to be continue, in that the most recent amendments to the special Covid-19 legislation (2020 Journal of Laws item 374, as amended) extends the deadlines for applying for such support (…)
