She has extensive experience in complex administrative and court proceedings, including cases before the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection, courts of appeal, and the Supreme Court. She has also worked on merger control cases. Her clients have included entities from both the private and public sectors. From 1996 to 2009, she worked at the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection. In 1999, she was appointed Deputy Director and, in 2005, Director of the Warsaw branch of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.

Maria Mrówka is a Senior Associate in GESSEL’s Competition and consumer law practice. She specializes in matters relating to anticompetitive agreements, abuse of dominant market position, and practices infringing collective consumer interests.
Much of her work has been at the nexus of the public and private sectors, on cases requiring in-depth knowledge of administrative procedures and supervisory mechanisms applicable to competition and consumer protection authorities. Maria has participated in numerous administrative and court proceedings in the field of competition and consumer protection law, including cases before the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection, courts of appeal, and the Supreme Court. She has also been involved in consumer protection projects characterized by a high level of legal and factual complexity.
From 1996 to 2009, she worked at the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection. In 1999, she was appointed Deputy Director of the Warsaw branch of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, and in 2005 she was promoted to Director. Maria is a co-author of the Commentary on the Act on Competition and Consumer Protection. Graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw in 1996. Speaks English.
