Previously worked in the legal department of a publicly listed company, providing legal advice to members of the corporate group and handling M&A transactions, due diligence studies and information duties for public companies; before that, worked at the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF). Much of his work is concentrated on application of the Market Abuse Regulation and of the legislative Acts regarding public offering and trade in financial instruments. During his time with the KNF, contributed to the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) MAR working group and to drafting of legislative instruments implementing MAR in Poland; also sat on ESMA’s standing committee for capital markets integrity, analysing legal issues of relevance to regulation of the European markets. Speaker at seminars for entities falling under the purview of KNF (CEDUR Programme) and at international conferences for regulators. His professional experience encompasses discharge of reporting duties by publicly listed companies, purchase and divestment of large stakes in public companies (including the attendant tenders), delisting, buying up of own shares and stabilisation as well as practical aspects of the Short-Selling Regulation, derivative instruments in the context of EMIR as well as MiFID II and MiFIR.
Author of numerous publications on the capital market, including co-author of the commentary ‘Capital market law. Comment.” regarding the MAR Regulation.
Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of Jagiellonian University. Admitted to practice as an advocate in 2018. Currently working on his PhD at the Chair of Commercial Law at the University of Warsaw. Licensed securities broker in Poland.
