Does innovation need innovation ? To date, innovation seemed to manage just fine within the confines of the existing catalogue of corporate forms.

Soon – and, this time around by all indications, definitely – we will witness coming into force of the repeatedly rescheduled amendments to the Polish Commercial Companies and Partnerships Code introducing in its Title III (the part dealing with bodies corporate) a new section Ia, thus creating the simple joint-stock company. In this way, as of 1 July 2021 the strictly defined typology of commercial companies will be expanded to include a new type, formally classified as a capital company.
