GESSEL – LEGAL SERVICES FOR COMPANIES
For a quarter of a century, GESSEL has been advising corporate entities and individual clients. Our mission is focused on supporting development of the broader business environment, servicing transactions, assisting in the establishment of new relations, and – as a last resort – on resolution of disputes and crisis management. GESSEL’s corporate Clients have grown to rely on safe legal solutions ensuring stability throughout the project and on unflinching support for their innovative and unique ideas.
In fact, a certain pioneering spirit is part of our core identity. GESSEL’s beginnings coincided with the first years of Poland’s shift to a market economy. We were a new firm, making a name for ourselves even as we helped our Clients with their first steps in a new market reality, plotting their future course and exploring the prospects for international cooperation. We learned first-hand about the importance of legal advice in securing finance for young companies and for ambitious young leaders, be it through appropriate bank finance solutions, bond issues, or tapping the public capital markets (another area of the Polish economy which grew and developed at the same time as we did). Some years down the line, it is with great satisfaction that we look back on these beginnings and admire the present successes of our Clients from those early days. Which is not to say that we are content to rest on our laurels – our experience to date stands us in good stead as we hone the expertise of our team, expand our range of services and win the trust of new cooperating entities.
FINANCING, TAXES, PRIVATE INTERESTS
Our Clients include leading players in major sectors of the economy as well as young companies in the early stages of their growth. We are proud to support them in safeguarding their achievements to date and in planning their future successes. We advise on corporate mergers, assist with business start-ups, and help sell and buy companies. Our in-house expertise also enables us to assess the tax perspectives of the given project. We work with banking houses, private investors, and the capital markets community in perfecting financing instruments; we are also in a position to draw on international professional networks to bring together prospective partners and to secure expert advice on multi-jurisdiction deals.
All along, we remember that behind every successful company, behind every spectacular deal, and behind every ground-breaking idea there are specific people. We advise on incentive programmes, labour relations, and on protection of personal interests.
Long-term growth requires safety and a feeling of stability. Our lawyers work to prevent obstacles from arising, but are capable of addressing a crisis if it does materialise. In this context, we are well-phrased in complex litigation and arbitration proceedings, as attested to by regular accolades from our colleagues in the legal profession as well as from the broader business community.
GESSEL is a member of the international network of lawyers:
