22 RANKING OF LAW FIRMS 2024 of the Rzeczpospolita daily brought us 6 awards and great pride in the achievements of the many people who make up the GESSEL law firm.

In the general classification in terms of the number of lawyers, out of 334 scaled law firms in Poland, we are in 19th place.

Thanks to the indications of our colleagues from other law firms, we became a LEADER as a firm in four categories:

• PRIVATE EQUITY
• CAPITAL MARKETS AND REGULATORY CONSULTING
• COMPETITION AND ANTITRUST LAW
• COURT DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND ARBITRATION

Individual awards were given to:

• Marcin Macieszczak received the award for LEADER in the private equity category
• Leszek Koziorowski received the award for LEADER in the capital markets and regulatory consulting category
• dr hab. Beata Gessel-Kalinowska vel Kalisz has been recommended in the category of Dispute Resolution and Arbitration.
• Bernadeta Kasztelan-Świetlik has been listed among the recommended lawyers in the Competition and Antitrust Law category.

We have been among the winners and finalists of the prestigious PSIK Awards for many years — a competition that recognizes best practices and professionalism in the private equity and venture capital sector in Poland. Between 2020 and 2022, we were named Private Equity Legal Advisor of the Year three times.

In 2024, we were once again selected as a finalist in the Private Equity Legal Advisor of the Year category, and the “Velvet Care” transaction, which we had the pleasure of advising on, was awarded Transaction of the Year.
