Barbara joined GESSEL in 2018 and is a member of the arbitration team.
She represents clients both before the general courts and in domestic and international arbitration (at, among other forums, the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, the Arbitration Court of the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw, and the Arbitration Court of the Lewiatan Confederation). Her practice to date has been focused on disputes concerning breach of representations and warranties and settlements in M&A transactions, disputes concerning commercial contracts, and corporate disputes.
Her experience also extends to the post-award phase of arbitration – securing acknowledgment and due enforcement of arbitral judgments, overturning arbitration awards. Also serves as administrative secretary to Polish and international arbitration tribunals.

Arbitration proceedings:
- Representation of a company from the IT sector in a dispute relating to an M&A transaction in proceedings before the International Court of Arbitration of the ICC (London)
- Representation of a client in a dispute concerning damages for delivery of faulty installations in proceedings before the International Court of Arbitration of the ICC (the Hague)
- Representation of a client in a dispute concerning untrue representations and warranties in an investment agreement in proceedings before the Arbitration Court of the Polish Chamber of Commerce (Warsaw)
- Representation of a Hungarian company in a dispute concerning performance of a construction works agreement in proceedings before the Arbitration Court of the Polish Chamber of Commerce (Warsaw)
- Representation of a Luxembourg investment firm in a dispute concerning claims pursuant to a management contract before the Arbitration Court of the Lewiatan Confederation (Warsaw)
- Representation of a Polish entity in a dispute with an American entity and its investors concerning improper performance of a contract in proceedings before the International Court of Arbitration of the ICC (Warsaw);
Post-arbitration proceedings:
- Representation of a Romanian company in proceedings for enforcement of an award handed down by the Court of International Commercial Arbitration affiliated with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania
- Representation of a client in proceedings concerning enforceability and overturning of an award handed down by the Arbitration Court of the Polish Chamber of Commerce;

- Representation of minority shareholder in proceedings challenging a general meeting resolution
- Representation of a minority shareholder in proceedings challenging a shareholders meeting resolution
- Representation of a client in proceedings concerning the winding down of a limited liability company due to a conflict between shareholders and management board members;
