On 14 June, Bernadeta Kasztelan-Świetlik led a panel during a conference organised by the Centre for Antitrust and Regulatory Studies (CARS) affiliated with the University of Warsaw, the Competition Law Association, and the Polish Association of Business Lawyers, attended by Tomasz Chróstny, President of the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK).
Her panel, “Review of the most important verdicts and trends in current antitrust practice in Poland”, examined a selection of UOKiK decisions from recent years from the perspective of issues such as penalty policy, private enforcement (a relatively new phenomenon in Polish practice), and the challenges posed by the digital market. The panellists also considered the question of economic analysis in the context of antitrust enforcement.
