Advises on dispute resolution. His practice covers arbitration and litigation in commercial matters, including international trade and M&A transactions.

Represents clients in domestic and international arbitration proceedings, as well as in court proceedings. Has experience in disputes conducted, among others, under the ICC, VIAC, SAC, ICSID and SAKIG rules of procedure, in the context of various applicable laws and involving various arbitration seats. Has repeatedly acted as a secretary to the tribunal or arbitrator’s assistant in arbitration proceedings.

A member of the GESSEL for Climate team, which brought the first citizen climate lawsuits related to responsibility for contributing to the climate crisis.

Shares his knowledge and experience by participating in international arbitration, mediation and negotiation competitions as an arbitrator and competition judge, as well as by conducting workshops for law students.

Prior to joining GESSEL, gained experience at one of Vienna’s leading arbitration law firms and at leading law firms in Warsaw and Cracow.

Selected projects

  • Representation of a research institute in a dispute with a foreign contractor over a laboratory testing contract in proceedings before the Swiss Arbitration Centre;
  • Representation of an entity in the mining sector in a dispute with a contractor in the ICC arbitration proceedings;
  • Representation of the Investment Fund Company in proceedings concerning setting aside of an arbitration award;
  • Representation of foreign and Polish entities in enforcement proceedings concerning foreign and domestic arbitral awards;
  • Acting as a secretary to the tribunal or arbitrator’s assistant in over a dozen arbitration proceedings involving disputes concerning commercial transactions, contracts for supply of goods (e.g. liquid helium) or services, construction of industrial facilities and fibre optic infrastructure, internet research, investment financing, and other forms of cooperation;
  • Representation of the ClientEarth Prawnicy dla Ziemi Foundation acting on behalf of five Polish citizens suing the State Treasury for its contributing to the climate crisis and the resulting violations of their rights.
