Promotions at GESSEL Law Firm!

We are happy to announce that at the beginning of 2022, Michał Bochowicz, a partner at GESSEL from 2021, was promoted as an equity partner of the Company, and Maciej Boryczko, head of real estate law practice, also joined the group of partners.

Michał Bochowicz has been associated with GESSEL Law Firm since 2015.

He specializes in M&A, Private Equity, and Venture Capital transactions in technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) as well as renewable energy sectors, and ongoing legal advice for Polish and foreign clients. He advised buyers and sellers in the largest technology transactions in Poland. Michał’s clients include Polish and foreign Private Equity and Venture Capital funds, payment institutions, entities from the e-commerce market, software suppliers (including SaaS), as well as entities from the green energy, health care, and aviation sectors. Michał is involved in pro bono activities, helping startups and young entrepreneurs. He is valued for the ability to understand the client’s needs and the specifics of their business, as well as proactivity and the creativity of the proposed solutions. Michał Bochowicz is part of an interdisciplinary team that provides top-quality legal assistance to entrepreneurs operating in the new sector.

Maciej Boryczko has been a member of the GESSEL team since 2011.

He has several years of experience in advising domestic and international investors covering a wide range of projects, including real estate. He advised clients throughout the most demanding and complex processes, including the sale and purchase of real estate, rental, and lease, financing of real estate projects, and their revitalization and commercialization. He deals with the estimation and mitigation of risks related to the surrounding processes, he has been involved in over 100 due diligence studies, which almost always dealt with real estate. He also specializes in corporate issues and M&A transactions.

Two people were promoted to the positions of managing associate: Anna Ziewalicz, attorney-at-law from the trial team led by Piotr Schramm, and Michał Osowski, legal counsel from the mergers and acquisitions team led by Karol Sokół.

Anna Ziewalicz has been a member of the GESSEL team since 2015.

She specializes in court and arbitration proceedings. She has extensive experience, among others, in the field of corporate, construction, financial and M&A disputes, as well as those concerning IT projects and new technologies. She advises clients in disputes with an international element, including those relating to the enforcement of foreign judgments in Poland. She also has experience in handling cases concerning the infringement of personal rights, e.g. through publications in the press. A speaker at conferences and workshops.

Michał Osowski has been associated with GESSEL Law Firm since 2016.

He specializes in mergers and acquisitions in the public and non-public market, day-to-day corporate services for commercial companies, and legal aspects of financing entrepreneurs, including the terms of bond issues under private offerings. He participates in all stages of the M&A process, including due diligence, preparation of transaction documentation, negotiation, and finalization of transactions.

Additionally, Marcin Iwaniak was promoted to the position of a senior lawyer, and Magdalena Dudziec-Kośnik to the position of counsel, both from Małgorzata Badowska’s banking and finance team.

Magdalena Dudziec-Kośnik has been associated with GESSEL Law Firm since 2019.

She specializes in financing transactions, including corporate finance, project finance, real estate finance, and debt refinancing transactions (both on the side of financial institutions and borrowers). She advises on projects in the field of financial restructuring of enterprises. She has experience in advising on the issue of bonds. Participants in M&A projects.

Marcin Iwaniak – a member of the GESSEL team since 2021.

He specializes in providing services to banks and borrowers, including companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, in financing transactions on the banking market, in particular in the preparation and ongoing handling of loan agreements and security documents, as well as in the preparation of due diligence reports for the needs of financing entities.
